Introduction

Zahakiel: Ok. Brother Luke, please open our study with a prayer.

Qinael: Most holy and loving Father,

We thank you for this medium, through which your children may gather together though far removed.  We thank you for allowing us this time of soul-searching and reconciliation.

We ask you that your Spirit will attend to each of those present, and those who may read later, that understanding may be opened, and a truths of great value be taken into the heart to best help others.

In the name of Yahshua we pray, amen.

Rita: Amen.

Zahakiel: Amen.

Happy Rock: Amen.

Guerline: Amen.

Barb: Amen.

Ye: Amen.

Naraiel: Amen.

Zahakiel: This month’s study is called “The Mirror of Souls,” and alternately, “King David is Come,” and I believe that although it will not be particularly long, it will be a very interesting and useful one.  Some of the inspiration for its material comes from the sixth book of The Sar’im Chronicles that I am writing, and it involves the history of the nation of Israel as it shifted leadership from Saul to David.

As I am going over the material, and writing as the inspiration drives me, I am struck by a few interesting questions about the military experiences of the Israelite soldiers.  One of the questions I asked, and that I believe I have answered, is this, “Why, if Saul was an insane and demon-influenced king, did the Israelite army continue to have military success?”  If we accept Corporate Accountability as an absolute principle – and we do – then when we find what seem to be exceptions, such as this, we need to be able to understand explain them.

As I continued to write, and to describe the experiences of the angels as they observed the conflicts between Saul and the Philistines, and then Saul and David, and then David and the Philistines, I believe that the answer presented itself to me, and that is what I am going to share this month.  In addition, the principle behind that answer reveals something very significant about the way that Satan operates and, by contrast, the way Yahweh operates, that has applications all the way down through time to the CSDA Church.

So let’s begin by looking at the example that brought this up.

The Anointed King

Zahakiel: We’ll begin by reading this passage:

“And Samuel said, ‘Hath Yahweh as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of Yahweh? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of Yahweh, He hath also rejected thee from being king.’

“And Saul said unto Samuel, ‘I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of Yahweh, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice. Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship Yahweh.’

And Samuel said unto Saul, ‘I will not return with thee, for thou hast rejected the word of Yahweh, and Yahweh hath rejected thee from being king over Israel.’ And as Samuel turned about to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent. And Samuel said unto him, ‘Yahweh hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou. And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for He is not a man, that he should repent.’” (1Sam 15:22-29)

Say when you’ve finished reading this.

Qinael: Finished.

Happy Rock: Done.

Naraiel: Finished.

Ye: Done.

Abraham: Done.

Zahakiel: Saul had repeatedly disobeyed Yahweh’s instructions, thinking that, like the kings of the heathen nations around him, he was the “boss.”  But the purpose of the Israelite kingdom was very different than the purpose of the other nations’ monarchies.  The king over Israel was to be a servant, not a dictator, and to take instruction from the prophets and the priests that were sent to him.  On this occasion in 1Samuel 15, we find that Saul finally went beyond the point at which he could ever again properly represent Yahweh’s plan for His people, and Samuel the prophet declares to him that another will be raised up in his place.

Saul’s later actions, such as trying to kill David, trying to kill his own son Jonathan, and going to a spiritualistic medium, demonstrate the justice of Yahweh’s decision in declaring him rejected, but the story doesn’t just end there.  David isn’t immediately crowned king, and it is many years, in fact, until Saul is replaced.  Yet we find an interesting thing about the success of Israel in battle:

“Therefore Saul removed [David] from him, and made him his captain over a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people. And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways, and Yahweh with him.  Wherefore David arose and went, he and his men, and slew of the Philistines two hundred men; and David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full tale to the king, that he might be the king’s son-in-law. And Saul gave him Michal his daughter to wife.” (1Sam 18:13, 14, 27)

At a later time, “there came a messenger unto Saul, saying, ‘Haste thee, and come; for the Philistines have invaded the land.’ Wherefore Saul returned from pursuing after David, [who was already on the run at this point] and went against the Philistines; therefore they called that place Selahammahlekoth. And David went up from thence, and dwelt in strong holds at Engedi.  And it came to pass, when Saul was returned from following the Philistines, that it was told him, saying, ‘Behold, David is in the wilderness of Engedi.’” (1Sam 23:27-29, 24:1)

It seems that both when David was with Saul and after he was already chased off, Saul was able to hold off the Philistine invasions quite consistently.

Zahakiel: Now let’s go back for a moment and look at an earlier example; and this is a long passage, so let me know when you’ve finished reading:

“So Yahweh was with Joshua, and his fame was noised throughout all the country. But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of Yahweh was kindled against the children of Israel.  And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men, for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down, wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.

“And Yahweh said unto Joshua, ‘Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face? Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff. Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.’

“So Joshua rose up early in the morning, and brought Israel by their tribes; and the tribe of Judah was taken. And he brought the family of Judah; and he took the family of the Zarhites, and he brought the family of the Zarhites man by man; and Zabdi was taken.  And he brought his household man by man; and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken.

And Joshua said, ‘Why hast thou troubled us? Yahweh shall trouble thee this day.’ And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones. And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So Yahweh turned from the fierceness of His anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, ‘The valley of Achor,’ unto this day.

“And Joshua rose up early in the morning, and numbered the people, and went up, he and the elders of Israel, before the people to Ai. And so it was, that all that fell that day, both of men and women, were twelve thousand, even all the men of Ai. For Joshua drew not his hand back, wherewith he stretched out the spear, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.” (Josh 6:27, 7:I, 5, 10-12, 16-18, 25, 26, 8:10, 25, 26)

Qinael: Finished.

Happy Rock: Done.

Rita: Finished.

Barb: Finished

Naraiel: Finished.

Guerline: Done.

Ye: Done

Zahakiel: The principle, we have always taught, is clear:

“For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed. Therefore Adonai shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows; for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.” (Isa 9:16.17)

Even in the New Testament this concept has not changed.  In the example of Joshua we see that even an ordinary citizen’s transgressions can lead to disaster, but this is particularly true when it comes to the leaders.  As the Messiah taught, saying of the Pharisees: “Let them alone; they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.” (Mat 15:14)

So what was different in this case?  Israel was not a perfect country, to be sure, and Saul was a fallen leader.  Why did they continue to succeed in battle despite this? Are there any ideas?

Rita: Not yet.

Naraiel: That David was anointed as king before Saul died. He was chosen.

Happy Rock: Because Yah had already promised to bless them. Because Satan can also allow people to succeed in order to deceive them.

Zahakiel: Well, those are both true. Yah had already given them a promise, but remember conditional prophecy... that by itself would not be sufficient. As Giselle said, there was something else that took place.

Let’s go back to 1Samuel, where we read of the incident that took place shortly after Saul’s rejection as king, described in fact in the very next chapter after that rejection:

“And Yahweh said unto Samuel, ‘How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite, for I have provided me a king among his sons.’ And Samuel did that which Yahweh spake, and came to Bethlehem. And [Jesse] sent, and brought [David] in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And Yahweh said, ‘Arise, anoint him: for this is he.’ Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren, and the Spirit of Yahweh came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.” (1Sam 16:1, 4a, 12, 13)

Here is the truth of the matter: although it was many years after this incident in 1Samuel 16 that David was actually crowned, and acknowledged as the king of Israel, he was the king of Israel from the anointing by Samuel the prophet.  Although Saul thought himself the king, he was merely a figurehead from Heaven’s point of view, and the success or failure of Israel depended from that moment onward upon David’s spiritual condition, and not Saul’s.  This is how, as Happy Rock said, the promises could be fulfilled.

Does everyone understand this point?  It is a very important one for our understanding of the consistency and power of the Corporate Accountability doctrine.

Qinael: <nods.>

Barb: Yes.

Guerline: Yes.

Rita: Yes.

Abraham: Its clear.

Happy Rock: Yes.

Rita: So the throne is simply a figurehead for the actual ruler. This has to apply to faith vs. sight idea as well.

Zahakiel: In a sense.  The throne is the throne, and according to Yah’s will the spirit will match the flesh. But because of Saul’s unfaithfulness, there was a time of transition.

Peterson: What is Corporate Accountability?

Zahakiel: On its most basic level, it means that if you are a part of an organization that does bad things... you are responsible as well.  But your father can show you some Bible verses we use to prove this idea to those who ask us about it :)

Peterson: Thanks :)

Zahakiel: So here we see there is no exception to the principle that we teach.  The people will rise or fall depending upon the spiritual state of their population, particularly the leadership that is set over them.

Yahweh will sometimes appoint a true, though invisible for a time, head of a movement or a people, and for the sake of the promises He has made, and for the sake of the plan of Salvation, and even for the love of the people, He will judge that people or movement corporately by that new head.  But now, there comes eventually a time of the visitation of judgment, when the false head is cut off, just as it says in Isaiah 9, right before the verses we quoted above: “Therefore Yahweh will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.” (Isa 9:14)

In Saul’s case, when David was to be made king according to Yah’s timing, we read, “Now the Philistines gathered together all their armies to Aphek; and the Israelites pitched by a fountain which is in Jezreel. And the Philistines followed hard upon Saul and upon his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchishua, Saul’s sons. And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise upon his sword, and died with him. So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armourbearer, and all his men, that same day together.” (1Sam 29:1, 31:2, 5, 6)

Now there is an obvious application of this principle to the history of Yahshua’s Church in every generation, but before we examine that, let’s look for a moment more at the principle itself, for it can be expanded and made even more general – and tell us something important about the character of the Almighty.

Different But The Same

Zahakiel: The basic concept underlying what we’ve been looking at may be expressed in this way: Yahweh’s plan is often to have things be the same in spirit, though they may appear different outwardly.

Our Father in Heaven knows that human beings require two things to be content: consistency, and change.  This may seem like a paradox, but it really isn’t – as with most true doctrines, what at first appears to be a contradiction is really a declaration of a balance.

For example, many people have a favorite food, but very few would choose to eat it every day of their lives for every meal.  We may have places we like to visit, or to see, but we would not choose to spend all our time there – we need to be other places as well.  One may have a very dear friend that provides fellowship and good conversation, but there are times when one might wish to be alone as well.  Consider the seasons, each is different, from spring, to summer, to winter, but they occur in cycles, renewing each other, and giving us something each time about which we may rejoice anew.

And yet, in all these different things, if the activities and occasions we enjoy are pure, and sanctified, and a part of the Christian experience, these things will all have some very important concepts in common.  They will refresh our spirits.  They will lead to enjoyment that is free from sin.  They will often directly glorify the Father in Heaven, and always provide the saint with an opportunity to praise Him.  The spirit will be the same.

Zahakiel: In the example we were looking at above, David was anointed king of Israel.  He wasn’t at all like Saul, and in fact most people (except for Samuel, David’s family, and the elders of Bethlehem) did not even know he was king.  The few who did wisely kept it quiet until Yah’s revelation.  He was different than Saul, but he shared a common spirit with Saul before the latter fell into transgression and was rejected.  Thus, the success of Israel was unchanged from the time during which Saul was rightful king over the people.

The Old and New covenants of the Bible appear to the unfamiliar to be extremely different, but the Christian (and only the Christian) can really see the same Elohim behind both, who rightly says of Himself, “I am Yahweh, I change not.” (Mal 3:6)  I met and had a brief discussion just yesterday with an individual who believes that the “God of the Old Testament” and the “God of the New Testament” are very different, and asked which one I served.  I told her that I serve the One God, who makes covenants that are suitable to the age.  She couldn’t grasp what I was talking about, though she considered herself knowledgeable about the Bible and theology.

Can you think of other examples of Yahweh’s works, when things appear to be different, but are really the same in essence?

Naraiel: The revelation of the Seven Seals and the Seven Church ages.

Zahakiel: Yes, that is one. Parables may all point to the same basic truths, but use different symbols.

Qinael: Circumcision and baptism.

Zahakiel: That also, yes.

Naraiel: Oil and fire as symbols of the Holy Spirit.

John the Baptist and Eli-Yah also.

Zahakiel: Yes, that as well.  There is evangelism; an example I quoted in the radio sermon last Sabbath is found in Jude: “And of some have compassion, making a difference, and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.” (Jude 1:22, 23)

Similar to the above, we find Paul saying, “For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; to them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ) that I might gain them that are without law. To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak. I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.” (1Cor 9:19-22)

Here we see approaches to evangelism that seemed very different.  Some were so different, in fact, that Paul occasionally found himself in trouble with those who were used to more traditional methods of proselytizing (e.g., Acts 21:18-25) yet through it all his underlying spirit was constant – to demonstrate agape for humanity, and to preach the free Gospel of Yahshua.

Are there any questions about this idea?

Rita: No.

Barb: No.

Ye: No.

Guerline : No.

Naraiel: The Sunday Law and the Trademark.

Zahakiel: Yes, that is a very good example that I missed.  These appear different, but the test that Yahweh allows through them is just the same.

The Same But Different

Now Satan’s plan, on the other hand, is to have things be different in spirit, though they may appear the same outwardly.

One of the names by which this study is called is “The Mirror of Souls,” because it reveals these traits about Yahweh and His enemy that are perfectly and totally opposites – mirror reflections one of the other.  If anyone asks how Satan and Yahweh are different, you can tell them that, among a great many other things: “Yahweh will take things that are the same, and make them appear different, but Satan will take things that are different, and make them appear to be the same.” Thus we find described One who is interested in keeping His people refreshed, and one who wishes to deceive.

I have a few examples of this concept to share, and then I’ll ask if you have any other ideas.

Here is one: “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For such [as teach false doctrines] are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” (2Cor 11:3, 13-15)

Another: “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” (Mat 24:24)

A third: “The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field. But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, ‘Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? From whence then hath it tares?’ He said unto them, ‘An enemy hath done this.’ The servants said unto him, ‘Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.”’“ (Mat 13:24-30)

Notice that in the above parable it was not until the sprouts “brought forth fruit” that the servants even realized some of the crops were not wheat, but tares. That’s a very significant element of the teaching.  But now, can you think of other examples to add to our list, with Satan, or some other deceiver, trying to make something that is of one nature appear different than it truly is?

Qinael: Judas kissing Yahshua.

Naraiel: The name “Seventh-day Adventist®” The Spirit is different, though it sounds the same.

Zahakiel: Yes, those are both excellent examples.

Rita: Works versus faith – he who works is deceived into believing that he is righteous, when only One is. Also, the Sabbath rest verses a Sabbath day being involved.

Guerline: The Sabbath of the Old and the one of the New Testament.

Zahakiel: Right, yes. You are both on the same track there, and that’s a good example.

Happy Rock: The true Church.

Zahakiel: Right.  There are many counterfeits to the true faith.  There are a great many more we could speak of: There is the second beast, which appears lamb-like, but is inwardly a roaring dragon.  There is the anti-Christ, who sits on the throne that is claimed for Yahweh, and declares himself to be God.  The worship offered by those who have a works-based religion can appear so convincing (as Rita was pointing out) that even those who are guilty of it are surprised when Yahshua finally says to them, “I never knew you; depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Mat 7:23)

Are there any questions about this idea?

Rita: No.

Qinael: No.

Barb: No.

Naraiel: No.

Ye: No

Peterson: No.

Guerline: No.

The Seventh-day Adventist Application

Zahakiel: To summarize the above once more: Yahweh takes things that are the same in spirit, but gives them a different outward appearance, to suit our desires and wishes. Satan, on the other hand, deceives by taking things that are different in spirit, and making them appear the same – counterfeiting, basically.

Now then, for the application: let me begin this section by reviewing the purpose of Yahweh’s people.  We covered this in some detail in Chapter 8 of The Highway of Holiness, Volume 2 (PDF) last camp meeting.  Here is an excerpt:

“In Chapter 5.5, the role of the individual believer is discussed, focusing primarily on internal Church activities like voting, and mentioning some external functions such as evangelism. The role of the Body, the collective of believers, is similar in many respects to the role of its individuals, but we are given something of a “broader view” when looking at the Church as a whole.

“We read, ‘Ye [a plural ‘you’] are the salt of the earth. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that theymay see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.’(Mat 5:13a, 14-16)

“‘Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Yahshua the Messiah.’ (1Peter 2:5)

“The instructions to the believers as a whole appear to involve two primary functions, these being Evangelism and Intercession.  We have discussed Evangelism at some length in Chapter 7, and again in the above section, but said little so far in terms of intercession. As the light of the world, we have the responsibility to reveal knowledge of the divine world to those who live on a sin-darkened planet. As the salt of the earth, our work preserves a creation that is ‘dead in trespasses and sins.’ (Eph 2:1)” [The Highway of Holiness, Volume 2, pp. 108, 109]

Say when you have read that.

Ye: Done.

Qinael: Finished.

Barb: Ive read that.

Naraiel: Finished.

Peterson: Done.

Guerline: Done.

Rita: Done.

Zahakiel: I then go on further in that chapter to explain a bit about the specifics of the Church’s (and its members’) intercessory role.  For our purposes, it should be clear that if it were not for this intercessory role, the probation of mankind would have ended shortly after the cross.  The evangelistic work, as soon as it first stalled, would have signaled the end of human history; those who accepted the word of the apostles would have been saved, and everyone else would have been lost.  And yet, this is not what happened.  After the evangelism of the first Church faded due to worldliness, compromise and affliction, Yahweh waited for another opportunity to raise up messengers.  In the meantime, faithful prayers (even from among those who had been deceived by false doctrines) continued to ascend for loved ones, for acquaintances, and for all mankind.  The Church, broken though it was by Roman paganism, was nevertheless an intercessor for mankind as a whole.

Now, just as with Saul, there comes a point where a new people must be brought out and the old, dead king must be exposed.  This happened during the Reformation; the Reformers took up the job of evangelism, and as soon as they began to do this they were also anointed by Yahweh as the intercessors, taking over the role from Roman Catholicism, which was “free” at that point (if that word is even appropriate) to slide even deeper into formalism and error.  This happened during the Great Awakening; the Seventh-day Adventists came forth to preach judgment and salvation to a world that had forgotten the promise of Yahshua to return for His faithful people.  They evangelized the world with the Three Angels’ Message, and interceded on behalf of those who remained on earth.

The CSDA is the newly anointed Body, chosen by Yahweh even as David was chosen, and anointed by the modern prophets even as David was anointed by Samuel.  Now, to the eyes of the world, it appears that the “true” Seventh-day Adventism is the General Conference Corporation, even though Yahweh said to them in 1981, “The Kingdom of Heaven is taken from you;” but those who knew of the reasons why had not ears to hear it, and those who did not know then… most of them still do not know now.

There will come a time when, like Saul, the judgment of Yahweh will reveal the truth of the matter, that the SDA Church as it once was “died” as a kingdom of priests when the leaders said to the United States civil government, “Make us a name, that we might be protected, and defend that name with the sword of Caesar.”

Zahakiel: Now, just as David realized, so we must realize that our job is not to attack the “spiritual Saul.”

Our job is not to speak killing words against either that fallen Protestant church, or against the government that consented to do such a wicked thing in the sight of Heaven as to unite with them for the persecution of saints.  What once began as a noble purpose, to preserve religious and civil liberty, has now become a parody of a free state; the only reason why more people do not know this is because they are neither genuinely religious, nor genuinely civil.  They may be churchgoers, many of them, but they are not committed to victory over sin, or the sanctified life.  They may be polite and mannerly, many of them, but when Creation Seventh Day Adventists explain our stand for freedom of conscience, far too many will say, “You will get what you deserve in the courts.”  Yes, we must speak the above truth, and speak it with conviction and the force of holy zeal – but this is not unnecessary aggression.  To tell people the truth, even if it is unpleasant and inconvenient, is often (in these dark days) a part of being both an evangelist, and an intercessor.

As it is written, “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.” (Isa 58:1) “Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.” (Pro 27:6) “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of Yahweh so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, ‘Peace and safety,’ then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.” (1Th 5:2-6) It must never be said of Yahweh, in reference to us, “His watchmen are blind; they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.” (Isa 56:10)

Because there is a Gospel-based Church that remains on this earth, individual probation continues for a breath of Yahweh longer.  There is still a chance to repent, even for those individuals who are yet in the fallen body.  We do not know just how much longer this breath of life will last, but for agape’s sake we must make the very most of it.

Zahakiel: We must explain to the people that David is anointed king of Israel.  The Davidian Seventh-day Adventists are waiting for “king David” to come and reign.  If they understood this teaching that you are hearing today, and if they understood the parables of Scripture, and knew the signs of the times, they would rejoice and unite with us, forsaking their faulty ideas about salvation and prophecy: for David is indeed come.  The Creation Seventh Day Adventist Church is indeed that David of 1 Samuel, just as we are that Elijah of 1 Kings and Malachi.

Our doctrines are what Seventh-day Adventist doctrines once were, and what they would be now, if that church had remained in and continued in the light from Heaven.  We may look different to the world, but we are quite the same SDA Church as Ellen White experienced it.  We are accused by nominal Adventists of being deceivers because – and this is the real reason why – these people think we are trying to appear like the current SDA organization.  But based upon this month’s teaching, if they were seeing clearly and we were really trying to do this, to appear to be the modern, mainstream, neo-Adventist church, which would we be like, Yahweh or Satan?

Rita: Satan.

Zahakiel: Right.  We would be like Satan.  The accusation would be valid, and we would indeed be like Satan if we were trying to appear to be anything except what we truly are, and this is a true principle.  But we make it plain, as plain as we can, and as often as we can, that we are true Seventh-day Adventists, and this means (we must clearly state what this means) that we are as different from the General Conference Corporation’s organization as David was from Saul after his rejection by Yahweh.

Rita: Amen.

Zahakiel: And even while we do this, we find Satan at work using his mirror-image principle to lessen the impact the CSDA Church can have on the world.  We find small religious groups being arrested for such things as polygamy and child abuse.  These are terrible things – let us be clear on that – but at the same time what the government and the media is doing is conditioning the world to automatically see small religious groups, non-mainstream religious groups, as being cultic and deserving or needing governmental intervention.  The human beings involved may be doing this unintentionally, perhaps even unknowingly, but the demons behind then pulling the strings are not at all unaware of their actions’ effects.

Rita: I see that the government also wants to flex their muscles and take their perceived “rightfully deserved” place… as king.

Zahakiel: Yes. And we could go on about that idea for quite a while, but hopefully you all grasp what the point of that is.  Are there, though, any questions about what we have covered so far?

Rita: None.

Conclusion

Zahakiel: In conclusion, I would like to re-state what I mentioned in that excerpt from our baptismal guidebook that I mentioned above: the role of the Church is to intercede for humanity, and to evangelize them with the Good News of Salvation by Yahshua.  There have been times in spiritual history, such as now, when the “old body” has been rejected by Yahweh, and a new one anointed in its place.  Like Israel, the probationary state of the world, and how effective it is at preserving and converting souls, depends upon the work of that newly anointed Church.

Some point after this anointing, judgment comes upon the old Body, and the world acknowledges the true regal and spiritual “head.”  In Christian symbolism, of course the true “Head” is and always has been Christ Yahshua, yet in a lesser sense – to humanity – the Church is the head of the race from the standpoint of the Father and Son.  It is not out of line to state it this way, for the Scriptures also use it on several levels, such as, “For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.” (Eph 5:23)

Now, just as David tended to say, “Yahweh forbid that I should stretch forth mine hand against Yahweh’s anointed,” (1Sam 26:11) so we as the newly anointed must respect the history – the divine history – that attended the mainstream Seventh-day Adventist Church as well as the United States government.  Both were raised up by Yahweh to do a great thing in the world; and both, to an extent, succeeded in that.  Our work is not to bring damage to either of these institutions, but at the same time, as evangelists and intercessors we must warn people of the judgment that is about to fall – as it did on Saul – upon all who will defy the will of Yahweh.  The wrath of Yah falls upon all, no matter how blessed, who resist His perfect plan for the salvation of souls.

Just as respect for Saul did not keep David from speaking the truth and accurately saying of Saul “he seeketh my life,” (1Sam 20:1) so we must call sin by its proper name, and explain the principles underlying the Beast and the False prophet to humanity, and to reveal the heart of the Dragon that underlies their current activities.  That which is very different is being made to appear as much like the same Church of Yahweh it once was as possible.  We, who appear different from the Seventh-day Adventist Church to the nominal and irreligious, are of the very same spirit as those who first came into the Sabbath and Sanctuary truths through the Great Awakening.

We hold up the mirror of souls to mankind, that they may see the work of Yahweh, and the work of Satan, and that they may choose a little more intelligently which master it is they truly wish to serve.
