Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days. (Acts 3:24)

ould this be true? I thought it would be fun to check this out, and indeed, I found that not only every book FROM 1 Samuel to Malachi of the Old Testament foretold the coming of the Messiah, but all those before it did as well! Not only that, but many of them point also to the humble manner and sacrificial office to which He would be born, a discovery which I find to be fascinating, and does much to reinforce my confidence in prophecy, including those regarding these last days.

Here, then, is a collection of references I have found which point to Christ’s first advent, as well as their New Testament confirmation. I have included at least one from each Book, but some had more than one example, which was so striking and dramatic that I just had to include them as well.
